Viewing PDFs in your browser (Chrome, Firefox, etc.)
Answer
Many browsers have a built-in PDF (Portable Document Format) viewer. Sometimes these built-in viewers do not work well with online resources. Links or printing may not work as expected.
If PDFs will not display or function properly, here are some suggestions:
- Change your browser's settings to view PDFs using another PDF reader (such as Adobe's)
- Download the PDF to your computer and then open it outside of the browser by using a PDF reader such as Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.
- Try an alternative web browser such as Firefox/Safari/IE or Microsoft Edge.
Most publishers consider Adobe's PDF Reader to be the standard viewer, but other viewers often work fine.
