Potential Causes
- The browser has started a session with the Shibboleth (SSO) server in the background, but then the session has timed out by the time you get to it.
- You've closed out of an active session (without logging out) but try to log in a second time in another browser tab or window.
- Issues related to your IP address, cookies, or a combination of both.
How to Work around Them
- Close the page with the error and re-attempt the action that prompted the stale request. This usually does the trick.
- Try clearing your browser cache.
- Close the broser (all tabs and separate windows) and start a completely new session.
- If you don't want to close the current browser, use an Incognito/Private window or a completely different browser to start a new session.
- Contact ITS.
