What's the difference between University of Missouri Libraries/MOBIUS and Interlibrary Loan?

Answer

The University of Missouri Libraries and MOBIUS catalogs allow you to request books from other member libraries. Requests are immediately to the lending library which then sends the item(s) via courier to the library of your choice, usually within three to five working days.

Interlibrary Loan can obtain copies of articles and book chapters.  It can also borrow books, theses, and other materials that are not available via University of Missouri Libraries/MOBIUS.  Articles and book chapters are usually sent electronically, while books are sent via the Post Office or another carrier.

MOBIUS/University of Missouri Libraries and Interlibrary Loan are only available to current faculty, staff and students.  They are not available to Mercantile card holders or the general public.
